Upgrading My Old Acer Aspire E15: Adding an SSD

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience upgrading my trusty old Acer Aspire E15 laptop. As many of you know, older laptops can become painfully slow, making it a struggle to get any work done. So, I decided it was time for a change. After some research and consulting with tech-savvy friends, I settled on adding an SSD to my laptop. Specifically, I went for the Crucial BX500 500GB SSD. The installation process seemed pretty straightforward. I carefully installed the new SSD, excited about the potential speed boost it could bring. However, to my disappointment, when I accessed the laptop's BIOS, it didn't detect the newly installed SSD. It left me scratching my head, wondering what went wrong. Interestingly, when I booted into Windows, the OS magically recognized the SSD. This puzzled me even more. Upon further investigation, I realized that my HDD was operating under legacy mode, with a drive type of MBR. On the other hand, I had chosen GPT for the SSD. My laptop's BIOS information showed that it was currently on version 1.25, while the latest version available was 1.47. Initially, I considered updating the BIOS, but after hearing horror stories about the potential risks, I decided against it for now. If you're curious about what my laptop's BIOS looks like, I've uploaded some images for reference [here](https://ift.tt/1Bz4HXi). If any of you tech gurus out there have some suggestions or solutions, I'd appreciate your help! That's all for now. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for updates on this ongoing SSD adventure. Cheers, [Your Name]
